English Program Levels for Orem Students
Level 1, Basic English (50 Weeks | CEFR A1–A2)
The Basic Level is for adult learners who are beginning from zero or who have minimal English. Over 50 weeks you will build foundational vocabulary and grammar, learn everyday conversational phrases, understand basic written and spoken English, and communicate effectively in common situations such as at work, at appointments, with neighbors, and at your children’s school. Level 2, Intermediate English (50 Weeks | CEFR B1–B2)
The Intermediate Level is for students who have basic English skills and want to become more fluent. You will expand your vocabulary, develop more complex grammar, improve listening comprehension, and gain greater confidence in workplace and community conversations. This level is well suited to Orem residents who work in manufacturing, construction, healthcare, food service, retail, or technology and want to move into better roles.
Level 3, Advanced English (50 Weeks | CEFR C1–C2)
The Advanced Level prepares students to use English at a professional or academic level. You will work on advanced grammar and writing, formal communication, presentations, and fully fluent spoken English. This level opens the door to university admission, professional licensing, and senior roles in the Utah Valley workforce.
