What Does CEA Accreditation Mean and Why Does It Matter?

The Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) is the national accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the United States, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of English language education.

When a school is CEA accredited, it means the curriculum meets rigorous national academic standards, instructors are qualified and regularly evaluated, student services meet established benchmarks, and Certificates of Completion issued by the school are recognized by universities, employers, and immigration authorities. For F1 student visa holders, attending a CEA-accredited institution is a legal requirement. UCEDA School has maintained CEA accreditation continuously since our founding in 1988, a commitment to quality that defines every program we offer.
